Press Policy

Orbital's press policy is primarily: respect our members and their privacy, and obey the camera policy.

In more detail...

Press passes

Please make an appointment if you wish to make a visit to Orbital. As part of our security policy, we will require you to wear a "Press" badge, and be accompanied by one of our stewards, and if you turn up without an appointment, it may be a while before one of our stewards is free to guide you. Making an appointment in advance will mean you can maximise your time while visiting Orbital.

Day Passes

Subject to committee discretion, Orbital may grant day passes to fan journalists, depending on the nature of their publication; such journalists may wander the convention freely, providing no filming takes place. To be considered, please contact us in advance, giving details of your publication.

Guests

Interviews with our Guests of Honour will be on Saturday. At time of writing, we have not yet confirmed which guests will be available, nor at which times. Please contact us if you are interested in interviewing our Guests of Honour.

Filming

At all times, any journalist who wishes to film part of the convention must

  • Be accompanied by one of Orbital's press liaison stewards;
  • Obtain in advance the explicit permission of the subject(s) of the filming;
  • Adhere to Orbital's camera policy.
