This page covers new information for the con. You're probably going to hear things sooner if you track our LiveJournal and Yahoo groups (see the sidebar, under Community, but the major details will be recorded here too, as we approach the con.

  • The Convention is now over. Even the Dead Dog Party's finished.
  • We are collecting feedback and convention reports.
  • We are also planning to relax and recover...

19th March:

  • There will be an extra panel at 4pm Sunday in Victoria/Edward, called 'The Work of Arthur C Clarke'. Panellists to be announced.
  • The writing workshop is now full

18th March:

  • Advance membership is now closed.

16th March:

  • For any interested or attending journalists: we now have a press policy.

  • On-line booking for paid-in-full bookings via credit cards only extended until 18th March.
  • Postal bookings (cash, cheque, credit card) closing later this evening.
  • Anyone taking advantage of the extension will not receive PRs through the post - they'll have to collect their PRs from Ops on arrival.

  • To make sure we've got all your details and room booking information right, we've sent an email to each members today with their membership and Radisson room booking details for confirmation. If you did not receive an email with your booking details from membership@orbital2008.org today, please first check in your spam folders in case the message went there. If you still can't find it and have booked for the convention, please email membership@orbital2008.org to let us know; quoting your membership number if possible.

20th February:

  • Mitch Benn will be entertaining us on the Sunday evening.
  • The art show display boards are now full. Small amount of space left for 3D art, sculptures, etc.

9th February: Balance is due today for any tables booked in the dealers room, if you've only paid a deposit.

7th February: Programme participants emailed with details of their scheduled items. If you believe you're on the programme somewhere, and haven't received an email, then check your spam filters, and then contact us.

25th January: the Radisson Edwardian (the main hotel) released a small number of twin/double rooms for us. More details here.
