Camera Policy

We ask everyone to be considerate of others. Some general guidelines:

  1. Don't use flash without asking permission; a lot of flashes can leave someone 'flash-blind'.
  2. Don't make a video without getting permission first, and definitely don't distribute it without getting agreement for that too.
  3. Group shots are okay, but it's polite to ask individuals before taking pictures of them.
  4. It's okay to take non-flash photographs of programme items without asking first, unless specifically mentioned otherwise at the start of the programme item.
  5. Flash photography is explicitly restricted during the Masquerade, as flash-blindness is a particular risk while members are wearing costumes that might reduce their vision or mobility. There will be a separate photo-call at the end of the Masquerade, when you can take pictures.
  6. You are not allowed to take any pictures in the Art Show.
